I grew up in southern California and studied engineering UCLA. I first worked for Fluor Daniel, an international engineering company based in Orange County, and then for Qwest Communications in Denver, CO, where I first fell in love with the mountains.

I was born and raised in what used to be a "small town" in Southern California called Mission Viejo. Life was all about swimming for the Nadadores back then. In 1972, my family made its first trip to Mammoth and the love affair began. Ever since then, Mammoth and the Eastern Sierra has been my home away from home. I finally decided to make it my real home when I moved here after college in January of 1993.

Mammoth almost became my home in 1987, when I had threatened to come up and be a "ski bum" just for one season after high school.Instead, I ended up spending those ten months working for a company in Grenoble, France.Upon my return, I immediately started working on my French degree (with business emphasis) at UCLA. A couple of years into my education I decided that I really wanted to go towards the health field and subsequently changed my major to Kinesiology. My journey at UCLA came to an end in December of 1992, when I finally finished with Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. All through college, Mammoth was still that home away from home, and being on the UCLA ski team made it that much easier to find reasons to come to Mammoth!

Straight out of college, I was set on finally living the dream of living in Mammoth. After a number of jobs including driving shuttle buses, selling coffee and bartending for about five years, I eventually made my way into the real estate business when I started working for Intrawest in the beginning of 1998. Wanting to be able to serve all of my clients completely, I parted from Intrawest in 2001.

Practicing real estate here in Mammoth has given me the opportunity to do everything I like in a place I love, all the while meeting wonderful people. When I moved to Mammoth in 1971 tiny Buster's market was the only grocer in town, Pea Soup Andersen's had just opened in what would become the Polo Outlet Store, gasoline was 36¢ a gallon and a season's pass cost about $200. There were just 17 condo projects in town--now there are nearly 100--and lots were selling for $5,000.

I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska; Rapid City, South Dakota; Hempstead, Long Island; and the Chicago suburb of Hinsdale, Illinois. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature at the University of Oregon and Portland State University. Faced with the existential crisis of graduating I bought a tent, stuffed my possessions into a 1960 Saab and drove to Yosemite Valley to become a rock climber.

Two summers later a freak early November snowstorm collapsed my tent and I migrated around the Sierra to become a skier. I've been in Mammoth ever since.

I have been a busboy and waiter--yes, at Pea Soups--a Kittredge Sporting Goods sales and rental clerk, a concrete finisher, ski instructor, builder and, since 1980, a REALTOR. I enjoy helping people who love the Sierra find a piece of the Mammoth dream. I relish the challenge of solving problems and believe there is always a solution that will satisfy both the buyer and seller and bring a transaction to a successful close.

I came to Mammoth to ski but stayed for the treasure trove of recreational activities from climbing to hang gliding, to fly fishing, to mountain biking, and, for the last 15 years, road cycling.
