My wife Andrea and I decided in 1996 to spend a winter in Mammoth after retiring from McDonnell Douglas in Long Beach, California in 1995. We were living at the time in Buenos Aires Argentina where I had met my wife years earlier when I was the Director of Marketing for Commercial Aircraft for South America. The plan was to only spend the ski season here and then return to Argentina. We rented a condo to see how we liked living here. We must have because we bought a condo after the first season, but only to use part time. Well part time became full time; we took our daughter out of school in Argentina where she had always gone to school to see if she would like it up here. She is now attending college in Santa Barbara and Andrea and I remain in the Mammoth we learned to love.
